Sean Jecko is the founder and principal of pencil.
Sean has more than a decade of experience uncovering insights and turning them into powerful marketing and communication strategies. His experience spans a wide variety of categories including CPG, travel, food, telecommunications, luxury goods, spirits and B2B. His philosophy is simple: Know the audience. Know the brand. Connect the two.
After graduating from The University of the South with a bachelor's degree in psychology, Sean attended the VCU Brandcenter where he earned a master’s degree in communications. He then spent six years as a Brand Planner and then Brand Planning Group Head at The Richards Group in Dallas, and five years as a Group Strategy Director and then Associate Director of Planning at McKinney in Durham, NC.
Sean’s background, work experience and friendly-but-focused demeanor enable him to unlock consumer and brand insights that lead to powerful marketing strategies.
